Congratulations Brandon Roy!

Congrats to Brandon for making the all star team! This is a well deserved honor. There's no need to go on about Brandon, Blazer fans know how special he is.

Our future is so very bright! I think they should pass out sunglasses at a game sometime.

I heard today that Brandon had his fingers/hand xrayed because his fingers were swollen when he got up this morning. I haven't seen anything more about it and it wasn't talked about when I waas listening to the KXL interview. It seems he is fine.

Brandon will represent Portland well. I am very proud of him.

GO BLAZERS!

No Trades!

NO TRADES!

Listen to me Mr. Pritchard, you have to know when to hold'em and know when to trade'em. There are rumors abounding regarding a trade involving Dallas and New Jersey that would also include Portland. A trade during this season is NOT a good idea.

You have managed to put together a TEAM that is not only playing well, but they have become the darlings of Portland. Trailblazer fans have fallen in love with this team! Let us enjoy it for a while. Please don't start tweaking things. "Ripcity" may be back but it is fragile. If you start trading away pieces of this team now, you will tick fans off and you could throw us right back where we were last year.

We're "there" Mr. Pritchard, let it alone and let it grow. Nobody is complaining, everyone is happy. It's time to stand pat.

If you trade any of these guys that have busted their tails for you and for the fans now, I am going to be very angry. I don't think I will be alone.

Include Travis in a deal? You do that and you will upset a lot of fans. We have what all the other teams want and that is OK. Let them drool. There is NO ONE out there we need except Greg Oden. Guess what? He's already ours!

Please Mr. Pritchard, have a heart and leave the team alone. Let us enjoy them. Use your best poker face and HOLD'EM!

Learn your lesson Nate!

Coach McMillan, for the love of everything good about the Blazers, PLAY JOEL WHEN WE ARE GETTING DESTROYED INSIDE! First it was Bosch. You said that you agonized over choosing to play LaMarcus for offense over playing Joel for defense. You chose offense. It didn't work! It was one game, we forgave you. You just had another chance against Chandler and you let it happen again! Why???

Lamarcus is getting plenty of playing time, it won't hurt him to come out of games. He is a second year rookie and Joel is a seven year veteran. Hasn't Joel proven that he changes games? Joel changed my mind, hasn't he changed yours? He can clog the middle so others can score. Joel does a pretty good job of scoring himself as well. Please please stop making the Blazers be defenseless inside!

Last night you put Joel in at about the 8 minute mark and then yanked him out a minute later! WHY????? Joel needs to be in games when our offense isn't working. It seems so simple. Things are going too well for the Blazers to not simply do what works. You now have had 2 chances, leaving Joel out is not our first option when there are guys like Bosch and Chandler going to the basket at will.

It's SO FRUSTRATING!!!! I don't want to see it again!

Shall I bring up the lack of rebounding without Joel??? ARGH!

*grumble*

The Atlanta Hawks meet the Portland Faux Hawk

S.Rodriguez 16:21 6-7 2-2 2-2 +14 2 0 2 4 0 2 0 0 1 16

I could not watch the game and I could not hear the game, I had to simply watch the box score and rely on emails from friends. This did not stop this game from being one of the more exciting Blazer games this season! Sergio Rodriguez really put on a show in the second half scoring a season high 16 points in just over 16 minutes. Atlanta couldn't stop him. SURGE EE OH! SURGE EE OH! What fun for him! It's gotta be the hair!

While I'm thinking about it, I want to mention that Mike Rice promised that if the Blazers make the playoffs, he will sport his own faux hawk. I don't plan to let him forget it!

After I got home I watched the game and kept thinking to myself, did we really win? What an unbelievable game. Again, my man Travis Outlaw hit the game winner. Travis continues to fly under the radar but I don't think that will last much longer. Travis should be considered for the Sixth Man award. Seriously. His averages continue to climb and the Blazers are winning games thanks to his efforts.

Not everything went well in today's game, but we got the W and Atlanta didn't.

Great game Blazers!

Hey Charles, put B-Roy in your "Fave Five"!

I could not be more proud of the Blazers! Forgive me for not posting, I have been very busy as of late and then lost my home internet connection! ARGH!!!

I have been enjoying this wonderful ride right along with everyone else though. 13 wins in a row! What a Christmas present that was! Gutsy road games and a great battle with Boston, who could ask for more? Right now, even the losses are wins for this Portland team. Being down 16 to Orlando and not being able to buy a bucket would cause the best of teams to give up, but not our Blazers! I was proud of their efforts to come back. That is a win in my book.

Brandon Roy. This guy HAS to be an all star. Is there a player out there more deserving? I really do not think so. He makes everyone around him better. He is mature beyond his years. Watching him walk away as KG was running his mouth spoke volumes about who Brandon Roy is as a person and as an NBA player. He "get's it". To think he is only in his second year is astonishing. He has so much to learn, and yet, he seems to know it all. I hope he remains a Blazer for many years to come. Brandon showed in Miami that it is B-Roy that should be in Barkley's Fave Five, not D-Wade!

Travis Outlaw is continuing to impress and equally deserving of notice. This guy has been hitting key shots under duress and playing very good defense. Fearless, that is Travis, fearless.

I like LaMarcus but he has a lot of work to do. He makes me nervous. He does have a sweet hook shot! I think he is getting playing time that should be given to Joel though. I do expect LaMarcus to be a force in the NBA.

Joel "the Thrilla" Przybilla. Joel has caused me to eat crow. Early on I thought he was soft. I couldn't have been more wrong. I am frustrated with Nate for not using him late in games. He's earned it.

Steve Blake is a rock. We can't survive without him.

Webster has improved loads, especially when his shots are falling. If he hits a 3, he should be given the ball at least the next 2 possessions! I saw him run the ball up the court in Orlando. Has he ever played the point? He looked like a natural.

Jarrett Jack confuses me. I like him and have seen him have some really great games and hit some really key shots. I also see a high number of turnovers. I'd like to see him get better at passing the ball out of traffic or throwing his arms up sooner to draw the fouls! I do like Jarrett though, don't get me wrong.

Channing Frye is great. He can shoot and does a good job all around. I laughed when he said he felt like he had been "set free" since leaving New York, does anyone blame him for feeling that way? It may sound silly but Channing is a happy guy playing happy basketball. :)

James Jones. What a welcome addition to the Blazers! I LOVE it when James comes into games! You know those 3's are coming. James is a great defender as well! I love the hustle he gives us. He and Webster together are doing a great job of chasing loose balls around and getting a hand into the passing lane. Great fun to watch. I love seeing our guys forcing turnovers.

Sergio. GREAT HAIR! I love the faux hawk! He's hanging in there and doing a good job.

As I have said before, I am not an expert on the game but I know what I see. I see a group of guys who are defining the word "chemistry". They have become a team, a cohesive unit. The Blazers are everything we could have asked for and more. Knowing we have Greg Oden waiting in the wings makes it even more exciting. I truly believe this is a team with a destiny. The best is yet to come! Am I dreaming?
