Once a "jailblazer", always a "jailblazer"?

I had a doctor's appointment today. The reason I am posting is because during the visit the doctor and his assistant began talking about the Blazers. They made jokes about them being "jailblazers". I was nice about it and said things like "yeah, well, they got rid of those guys and now they have a nice group of young kids" and "we got a shooter in Webster and we even snagged Nate McMillin". It didn't matter, they went ahead and had their fun. Do I blame them? Not really, what do they really know about the Blazers? There was a comment about management, but clearly, the focus was on the players and the perception was "jailblazer".

I find it funny that while I have my own complaints about the Blazer franchise, I find myself always willing to defend them when faced with a non-fan. I am protective of my team in spite of all that has happened.

I have a sign by my desk at work that says "Blazer Boulevard". Should I tell you how many times I hear comments about it? If you are a Blazer fan, I don't need to tell you.

So are the days of the Blazer fan, once people are on to you, you will never hear the end of it.

Perhaps this will be the year these folks run out of things to say. Do you hear me Zach and Darius?
