He is comfortable and loose in front of the camera. He seems to have a pretty good sense of humor too. I'm hoping to see more of this! You go Trav!

Travis interviews Rudy after his return from injury:

Travis discusses All Star Video ideas with Brandon Roy:
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com30tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-12285533283484711862009-10-30T14:13:00.000-07:002009-10-30T14:14:29.541-07:00Arrrrrrgh!Let me make this clear: YOU GOTTA HIT YOUR FREE THROWS!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-47762534545706611912009-10-28T09:16:00.000-07:002009-10-28T09:17:04.457-07:00Blazers begin season with a WIN!I thought last night's game was a good start. Really the only things that stand out as negatives are turnovers and G.O.'s lack of scoring. Is this bad? Heck no! You are going to have a lot of turnovers when you are grabbing at every offensive rebound! If you want to get on Greg's case for not having more than 2 points, then you are being blind to his great work on the defensive end. DEFENSE WINS GAMES PEOPLE. Our bigs, Joel and Greg, are very very very good. Offensive rebounds and blocks are the building blocks to victory, don't forget that.

Roy looks as good as ever. I can't say enough about Travis. I have said it many times and I am going to say it again, the Blazers NEED Outlaw on this team. Some guys can't be put in a box and Travis is one of them. Turn him loose and let him do his thing. Miller and Blake both looked fine and they will work out their minutes soon enough. It was great to see Martel out there. He had a killer dunk and hit some very good shots. He looks excited to play and that is a very good thing. Rudy was a little rough but I know he will come around quickly. A-Train. Oh how I am looking forward to seeing what LaMarcus does this year. MVP? Maybe. LaMarcus looks like he is on the verge of bursting onto the scene. He looks so good, so ready. Once he and Roy establish their balance of power, we are going to have one dynamic duo on our hands! It's coming Blazer fans, get ready!

GO BLAZERS!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-9032193862982757352009-10-26T23:41:00.000-07:002009-10-26T23:46:47.139-07:00Blazer sighting at LAPD, well, sort of....As much as it pains me to have the notorious twit Paris Hilton on my blog, I could not help but laugh when I saw the story about her being at the LAPD office today. While the story was airing there was a guy walking around in a Martel Webster jersey. He managed to stay on camera a very long time too. I think it's pretty cool that people are wearing Blazer jerseys in L.A. Of course it is at the jail, but hey, maybe he was retrieving stolen goods as well! As I said before, I am not overly excited about this but I am not upset either. It's great that we can pick up a guy like this without losing anyone. No longer are we ridiculed for being Blazer fans. No longer do we hear cracks about "jailblazers". No longer are we getting spanked by lesser teams.

We are a model team. We are admired for our turn around, envied. We have been given names of honor not mockery. I think Prince is the only player out there that truly makes a ton of sense for Portland. He is someone (and I really hate to say it) that I would actually be willing to give up Travis Outlaw for. I love Travis and love him as a Blazer, but this is a growth step that would be simply too good to miss.

I am all for it. If you can get it done K.P. Adrian Wojnarowski (whoever he is-some Yahoo Sports writer) has deemed K.P. a failure. Read it HERE

I heard this being discussed this morning on 95.5 and there seems to be some agreement with Blazer fans. I personally do not consider K.P. a failure and I have always applauded his prudent approach. I won't hold the Hedo deal against him. That situation couldn't be controlled. My problem is the whole idea of denying Brandon Roy.

I have voiced my agitation over the Brandon Roy situation. Yes, it could be out of Pritchard's hands and perhaps Mr. Allen is behind it. I don't believe that though. Paul Allen wants to win, he always has, he always will. One of the most important pieces to a winning formula for Portland is Brandon Roy, the fans know it, the league knows it, Paul Allen knows it, everyone knows it. Paul Allen is simply not going to say no to Brandon Roy. It is also not in Brandon's nature to ask for anything off the wall. It makes no sense that we are even having to have these conversations. Still, the bottom line is that it is Kevin Pritchard's job to get it done. So, with that in mind, I have to say that I too am seeing the allure of Prince Charming beginning to fade. K.P. better be getting something done soon or he's gonna begin feeling much more heat than what Yahoo Sports is dishing out.

It sounds like we won't get Paul Millsap either. I have heard that the whole top dollar offer was simply a ploy to create a situation where Utah has to spend big bucks to keep Milsap which would force them to trade Boozer. We want Utah to send Boozer to Chicago so we can grab Kirk Hinrich. I am not going to get worked up over this one until it seems more likely. I've learned my lesson. We'll see.

I am not surprised though. K.P. was a Jayhawk and he's had his eye on Hinrich ever since he was tapped to be GM. One thing about this, we would most likely lose Jerryd Bayless to Chicago. I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. I'm not devestated, but I am not excited either. This almost feels like "making a deal just to make a deal".Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-60917811183219177932009-07-10T12:44:00.000-07:002009-07-10T12:51:57.475-07:00If it weren't for bad luck....Our new rook Patrick Mills has broken his right foot while perparing for summer league.

What a tough deal for him.

LINKUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-12871205596774927542009-07-09T11:41:00.001-07:002009-07-09T11:47:33.031-07:00Has Kevin Pritchard lost his mind?I am hearing this morning that Kevin Pritchard is actually baulking at giving Brandon Roy a 5 year contract?
K.P. wants only 4? Are you kidding? Sign him for 10 if you can!

We are down right lucky that Brandon is willing to stay here!

This can't possibly be true, but if it is, then as far as I am concerned K.P. has completely lost his mind. What is this, a power trip?

You simply do not do this to a guy who has single handedly turned your franchise around. You do not do this to a guy who has become a 2 time all-star. You do not do this to a guy who gives 110% each and every game. You do not do this to a guy that has represented you so very well.

I am absolutely blow away by this. Kevin, you may have brought Brandon here, but Brandon did the work that got us where we are, not you.

Note to Kevin Pritchard: <h9>GIVE BRANDON WHATEVER HE WANTS!</h9>

Don't you dare put a chink in our relationship with Brandon Roy, don't you dare!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-63521126499091929272009-07-05T01:22:00.000-07:002009-07-06T13:45:52.509-07:00Happy 4th of JulyLooks a little like a flower doesn't it?
<img src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_cC8ceSGFS_KQW8l1bScUu-9OXLLPURlhXFeCUcuLLbYVIIroUaCp90hoW050HhyF8YDEjFA9fulXtIj0fIx8IyIM2YAlWyU418zqtRg6Ou5jKFJ8K5HTAcJryr_NHM1PxByHfA/s320/DSC08613.JPG' border='0' alt=''style='clear:both;float:left; margin:0px 10px 10px 0;' />

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-34334209587653621182009-07-04T00:37:00.000-07:002009-07-04T00:45:36.439-07:00Word in the streets is that Hedo Turkoglu is a dweebI guess I shouldn't be too surprised to learn that Hedo Turkoglu did a last minute 180 and decided to sign with the Raptors. These days it seems that a handshake is meaningless, and that is a shame. Hedo is only the second player to do this, the other being Carlos Boozer. What do you say? Not much other than it makes me glad to know that someone of such feeble character is NOT a Blazer. The Trailblazers have assembled a team of guys who hold themselves to high standards and high integrity-face it, a guy like Hedo doesn't belong here. I'm glad we found out now and not later.

Here's the confirmation: LINK

Good riddance Turkey Glue, don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!

GO BLAZERS!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-17944958670825059252009-07-03T14:22:00.000-07:002009-07-03T18:26:18.033-07:00Word in the streets is Hedo is a BlazerI'm hearing that the Blazers have agreed to a deal (in principle) to a 5 year 50 mil deal with Hedo Turkoglu (Turkey glue) to some. I like the idea of having Hedo ont he team but I am concerned about chemistry. We have worked really hard to get where we are and fan lyalties are going to be with guys like Rudy, Martel, and Travis. Who are we going to have to say goodbye to to make the addition of Hedo work?

From what I know Hedo is a really nice guy and does not get into trouble. Everyone knows he's clutch. I don't think anyone would say they dislike Hedo as a person or a player. Blazer fans love the three and Hedo can drop a lot of them. I am very confident that for Brandon Roy this is a dream.

It's an interesting day for Blazer fans. Excited about taking the next step towards a championship and fearful about what it may cost us. These are growing pains I guess. I just hope we are growing in the right direction.

So, welcome Hedo to the Rose City and bring your earplugs, we Blazer fans like to make a lot of noise!

Take heart Blazer fans.

Hedo on offense:

Hedo on defense:

Clutch under pressure three:

Yeah-this ain't gonna be so bad!

GO BLAZERS!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-65094579412261585632009-07-02T16:08:00.000-07:002009-07-02T16:21:51.267-07:00Greg Oden working hardI read today that Greg Oden has been working very hard in Ohio & Arizona to improve his game. Not only is he working on his physical game, he's taking classes and working on his mind. This is an important balance that shouldn't be overlooked. The mind plays a very important roll in one's abilities and knowing that he is exercising his brain muscle is very good news. Other players should take heed. I would love to see stat comparisons of players who study academically versus only working on the physical. I'd bet in most cases there would be much improvement for those who studied.

I also noted that Greg Oden is working with Brian Grant. The Rasta Monsta will be a very positive influence on Greg. These two guys can do a world of good for each other right now. Bill Bayno and Jerryd Bayless are also with Greg. I am sure that Bayless and Greg on working on some nice team work. I'll be looking forward to seeing it.

Keep up the great work Greg! We all know you have a monsta of your own waiting to be released!

STORY HEREUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-45384487019026206052009-07-01T11:27:00.000-07:002009-07-02T15:22:35.386-07:00The Mariner game<img src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglC5fLNdD5cHduYikPfTglubvv0dR46fQYCJGK-oWEibdR3CUJPlCOQ-Pqhv_nlwZuWdPKSVrKzd1B877L0Qmc7D3rQd8k-64LVOyjhMe3Kgj7vtFXSJj1jkrp5eE_iTbhI3-JrA/s320/DSC08513.JPG' border='0' alt=''style='clear:both;float:left; margin:0px 10px 10px 0;' />

I recently got to go to Mariner game at Safeco Field. It was really a great time. We sat nearly in the front row by the M's dugout. I got some really nice pictures. This is my favorite. I am guessing that this is the Mariner's version of hazing the new guy Chris Jakubauskus (Jack for short). Nice! The Mariner's are making a pretty good mid season push right now. I sure hope they get one against the Yankees. For me, the loss of Michael Jackson is brutal. I truly feel a sense of loss. Michael Jackson's music takes me back to my youth, back when life was more about fun than work. It brings a smile to my face and great memories to mind. How beautifully perfect is "I'll Be There" in that young and innocent voice?

The excitement of waiting for the Thriller video to be aired on MTV (this was well before we had any video or song we wanted at our fingetips-we had to do something called WAITING). I remember being so wowed by it I was on the phone for hours with my girlfriends afterwards. I also remember seeing the moonwalk for the first time when MJ performed at the grammy's. I was a roller rink rat and Michael Jackson's music was a big part of that as well.

Michael Jackson lived a life that no one but maybe Elvis(?) could understand. Fame comes with a price and come on, who wouldn't be a little weird and eccentric if you had to spend your life hiding? Elvis had his oddities as well.

There are certain people who's passing is felt worldwide. This is true of Michael Jackson. It's a testimony to his God given talent that he shared with the world. Yeah, there were accusations and questions about aspects of Michael's life, but I don't care. I didn't know the man personally so I can't make any judgements, especially if all I have to go on are story hungry talking heads. My sympathies go out to his family and his true friends, all of who are deeply devestated. That alone makes me believe the best of Michael Jackson. Certainly he wasn't perfect but he is deserving of acknowledgement and certainly, the very least we can do is say that we are sorry he had to go so soon.

Maybe now, finally, Michael Jackson can rest in peace.

For those of you who remember "Kingspeed" from BBB..you know who I mean ;)
His thoughts on MJ & Farrah: LINK I have him on twitter and found this there.

BTW-This is my favorite Michael Jackson song:

Last, but not least, THRILLER The video that changed everything.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8810512.post-72192065654980926122009-06-23T11:31:00.000-07:002009-06-23T11:32:57.226-07:00You've heard the name, now watch his game: RUBIO!I can't even imagine how much fun it would be to have both Rudy and Rubio on the floor at the same time.
