Hey Charles, put B-Roy in your "Fave Five"!

I could not be more proud of the Blazers! Forgive me for not posting, I have been very busy as of late and then lost my home internet connection! ARGH!!!

I have been enjoying this wonderful ride right along with everyone else though. 13 wins in a row! What a Christmas present that was! Gutsy road games and a great battle with Boston, who could ask for more? Right now, even the losses are wins for this Portland team. Being down 16 to Orlando and not being able to buy a bucket would cause the best of teams to give up, but not our Blazers! I was proud of their efforts to come back. That is a win in my book.

Brandon Roy. This guy HAS to be an all star. Is there a player out there more deserving? I really do not think so. He makes everyone around him better. He is mature beyond his years. Watching him walk away as KG was running his mouth spoke volumes about who Brandon Roy is as a person and as an NBA player. He "get's it". To think he is only in his second year is astonishing. He has so much to learn, and yet, he seems to know it all. I hope he remains a Blazer for many years to come. Brandon showed in Miami that it is B-Roy that should be in Barkley's Fave Five, not D-Wade!

Travis Outlaw is continuing to impress and equally deserving of notice. This guy has been hitting key shots under duress and playing very good defense. Fearless, that is Travis, fearless.

I like LaMarcus but he has a lot of work to do. He makes me nervous. He does have a sweet hook shot! I think he is getting playing time that should be given to Joel though. I do expect LaMarcus to be a force in the NBA.

Joel "the Thrilla" Przybilla. Joel has caused me to eat crow. Early on I thought he was soft. I couldn't have been more wrong. I am frustrated with Nate for not using him late in games. He's earned it.

Steve Blake is a rock. We can't survive without him.

Webster has improved loads, especially when his shots are falling. If he hits a 3, he should be given the ball at least the next 2 possessions! I saw him run the ball up the court in Orlando. Has he ever played the point? He looked like a natural.

Jarrett Jack confuses me. I like him and have seen him have some really great games and hit some really key shots. I also see a high number of turnovers. I'd like to see him get better at passing the ball out of traffic or throwing his arms up sooner to draw the fouls! I do like Jarrett though, don't get me wrong.

Channing Frye is great. He can shoot and does a good job all around. I laughed when he said he felt like he had been "set free" since leaving New York, does anyone blame him for feeling that way? It may sound silly but Channing is a happy guy playing happy basketball. :)

James Jones. What a welcome addition to the Blazers! I LOVE it when James comes into games! You know those 3's are coming. James is a great defender as well! I love the hustle he gives us. He and Webster together are doing a great job of chasing loose balls around and getting a hand into the passing lane. Great fun to watch. I love seeing our guys forcing turnovers.

Sergio. GREAT HAIR! I love the faux hawk! He's hanging in there and doing a good job.

As I have said before, I am not an expert on the game but I know what I see. I see a group of guys who are defining the word "chemistry". They have become a team, a cohesive unit. The Blazers are everything we could have asked for and more. Knowing we have Greg Oden waiting in the wings makes it even more exciting. I truly believe this is a team with a destiny. The best is yet to come! Am I dreaming?

GO BLAZERS!
