J-Mac Attack

"...For McInnis, who turned 30 during training camp, this is, by far, the most important season of his career. Now in his seventh year in the league and in his prime, he certainly sees the need to maximize his value when he becomes a free agent this summer, Thus far, he's rising to that challenge, putting together the best basketball of his career during the first 15 games of the season. After a sizzling 26-point performance Wednesday night against the Phoenix Suns, the most points he's scored as a Cavalier, McInnis started Thursday's game with the Denver Nuggets averaging 15.8 points per game. It is the highest average of his career.

After tying a career high in 3-pointers by making 6-of-9 of them Wednesday, McInnis is shooting 44.4 percent from behind the arc, also way above his career average of 34.2 percent. Though his assists are down, primarily because he splits time at point guard and shooting guard with Eric Snow now in the fold, his shooting and scoring have been vital to the Cavaliers' solid start to the season...

Armed with a new agent, Steve Kauffman, if McInnis continues his strong play, he'll probably start the bidding near the six-year, $37 million deals fellow point guards Derek Fisher (Golden State), Troy Hudson (Minnesota) and Rafer Alston (Toronto) got last summer..." BeaconJournal

Jeff has managed to land in a pretty nice position, playing the point for LeBron James. LeBron has been very complimentary of Jeff. With James on the floor, the rest of the team is "invisible". Although, as with Jordan and Pippen, one doesn't exist without the other. I'm not saying that LeBron wouldn't be LeBron without Jeff, but you have to admit, it isn't a bad gig! It seems J-Mac is doing a great job thus far. I think a veteran guard like Jeff is perfect for a rising phenom like LeBron. I'd say it is a "dream job" for a PG. I hope he gets to keep his job. Best of luck to you Jeff!
