I thought last night's game was a good start. Really the only things that stand out as negatives are turnovers and G.O.'s lack of scoring. Is this bad? Heck no! You are going to have a lot of turnovers when you are grabbing at every offensive rebound! If you want to get on Greg's case for not having more than 2 points, then you are being blind to his great work on the defensive end. DEFENSE WINS GAMES PEOPLE. Our bigs, Joel and Greg, are very very very good. Offensive rebounds and blocks are the building blocks to victory, don't forget that.
Roy looks as good as ever. I can't say enough about Travis. I have said it many times and I am going to say it again, the Blazers NEED Outlaw on this team. Some guys can't be put in a box and Travis is one of them. Turn him loose and let him do his thing. Miller and Blake both looked fine and they will work out their minutes soon enough. It was great to see Martel out there. He had a killer dunk and hit some very good shots. He looks excited to play and that is a very good thing. Rudy was a little rough but I know he will come around quickly. A-Train. Oh how I am looking forward to seeing what LaMarcus does this year. MVP? Maybe. LaMarcus looks like he is on the verge of bursting onto the scene. He looks so good, so ready. Once he and Roy establish their balance of power, we are going to have one dynamic duo on our hands! It's coming Blazer fans, get ready!
GO BLAZERS!
