Rasheed Wallace reflects on Portland...sort of.

"...Although the Pistons have struggled this season, Wallace is having the time of his life. He had a Christmas Eve talk with Ham and told him how comfortable he feels. He appreciates playing for a veteran team, with married teammates who have families.
Behind all his jokes and past transgressions, Wallace is a family man who loves time with his wife and kids. That's one reason he said he turned down an opportunity to play for Team USA in the Athens Olympics.

When Jerry Stackhouse was with the Pistons, he encouraged them to trade for Wallace. Stackhouse said that behind Wallace's bad-boy image, there was a man yearning for peace and a family atmosphere.

Wallace says many of his emotional outbursts in Portland stemmed from his frustration of playing with younger teammates. But Wallace set a bad example by letting his emotions overcome him and earning technical fouls in bulk quantities.

"I can be a totally different person (with the Pistons)," Wallace said. "I don't have to say much to this team. They are all veteran players. They know what to do in different situations.

"In Portland there were younger guys and it was harder (on defense, thinking), 'I've got to play his man and another man.' On this team I know Ben (Wallace) don't want a double team. I know Chauncey don't really need any help on top. But playing with younger guys there are more things you've got to do, and at times it can get frustrating..."

Who would Rasheed being referring to? Damon and Bonzi? Maybe, but they were his pals. Arvydas and Pip? No, they were the veterans. Is this yet another finger pointing at Zach?

I have to say I am finding it amusing that the Detroit press seems to have no problems at all getting interviews with Rasheed. I wonder why that is? *sarcastic question*
