What's Missing?

David Stern was recently asked about recent troubles in the NBA, for example, Kobe Bryant, Latrell Spreewell, Ron Artest, Marcus Fizer. Stern's response was this:

"...Upon broaching the subject, Stern smiled that disarming smile of his as he munched on chocolate candies and washed them down with a Diet Coke, while sitting in an office at Sonics headquarters.

He removed his glasses and let out a long sigh before saying: "We are the one of the largest providers of reality television in the world. On and off of the court. And that's what's going to happen from time to time...."

"...And all you do is you keep emphasizing the fact that, like the Sonics, with the team and foundation and the players who buy tickets for underprivileged kids, that there are thousands of good deeds done and what you guys in the media do is cover our not-so-good deeds. You cover our weaknesses, not our strengths. And I've become accustomed and resigned to it..."

What I couldn't help noticing is that for once, a story about bad player behavior in the NBA doesn't include one Portland Trailblazer! We are completely missing from the story! That is indeed a step inthe right direction!
