Just SAY NO to Jason Kidd!

I hope that John Nash pays more attention to John Lucas, than he does any considerations of bringing Jason Kidd to Portland while scouting the Jimmy V classic tonight.

Blazers general manager John Nash and New Jersey Nets general manager Ed Stefanski -- longtime friends from their days in Philadelphia -- will take the hourlong train ride together, ostensibly as a scouting foray from today's Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden to the Temple-Pennsylvania game Wednesday in Philadelphia.

But somewhere along the line, the conversation undoubtedly will turn to the health and tradability of Jason Kidd, the Nets' All-Star point guard. Last week, Nash said that monitoring Kidd's recovery from knee surgery is on his to-do list this week. OregonLive

It makes no sense to bring Jason Kidd to Portland for 80 mil (5 years) when we can have Carter and Rose for less (around 76 mil) and only be locked in for 3 years!

Kidd's character alone is a step in the wrong direction for Portland, especially when "good character" has become the Blazer organization's mantra. It is ridiculous. Add to this the odds against Jason ever being the player he WAS (think Chris Webber), and you have the makings of a really bad deal. This Blazer fan says NO to Jason Kidd.
