The "block party" is in Detroit, not Portland.

The advertising theme this year in Portland has been "block party", but the real party is in Detroit. The Detroit Pistons became the first NBA team since 73-74 to have 4 players block at least 4 shots each in one game on Dec. 27 against the Nets. In addition, Ben Wallace is closing in on Terry Tyler's record of 1070 blocks.

"...The Elias Sports Bureau has confirmed that the Pistons are the first NBA team to have four players block four or more shots in the same game since block statistics were kept in 1973-74. Antonio McDyess, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace and Tayshaun Prince each swatted four shots against the Nets on Dec. 27.
... Speaking of blocks, Ben Wallace went into Thursday's game needing five more to reach 1,000 for his Pistons career. He is closing in on Terry Tyler's team record (1,070
