Will the Blazers trade SAR?

There is a lot of talk lately about PDX trading SAR. The most recent being a trade for Jason Kidd. This trade is one I am adamently opposed to.

Jason Kidd is damaged goods, has a bad character history, a bum knee, a wife with a negative
attitude, she thought San Antonio wasn't "glitzy" enough for her.
(she better look long and hard at Portland).

Worst of all, Jason has a monstrous contract that will cripple the Blazers financially for several years. This is a bad deal no matter what way you look at it. Word is that Nash wants Kidd to metor Sebastion Telfair. This is a very high price to pay for a "teacher".

Names like Eddie Jones and Wally Szczerbiak have surfaced as well.

There seems to be an assumption that Blazer fans prefer Zach Randolph to Shareef Abdur Rahim. It appears that Zach will agree to a 6 year, 75 mil. contract.

Zach and SAR have created what we call the "battle at the 4". There are arguments for both players. What has been really unfair to SAR is forcing him to play out of position. There are arguments as to which player is actually best at the 4. The organization seems to prefer Zach, yet they see value in SAR.

I am sure that a few fans, who have valid arguments for both players, may express their takes on this, and I hope they do!

Only the season will tell how this opera ends.
